The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have risen the price of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has actually entered into sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints in the world, one business is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
