The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little incentive to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one business is taking of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
